TRU was recently awarded 3 American InHouse Design Awards by Graphic Design USA (GDUSA). The American Inhouse Design Awards is the original and the premier showcase for outstanding work by inhouse designers. It provides a unique opportunity for inhouse design, marketing and communications departments to be recognized for their talent, for the challenges they face, and for their value to businesses and institutions.
“This is an important one for us because it recognizes the work created by our amazing team of in-house graphic designers,” said Rachael Cash, CEO and Co-Founder of TRU.
The awards were as follows, in no particular order:
This is the second time our site has been recognized for an award. TRU’s website was also awarded an “Award of Excellence” by the 2014 Communicator Awards for its visual appeal. The website, launched at the end of 2013, features a concrete background which is an integral part of TRU’s branding. The homepage boasts large imagery at the top spotlighting some of TRU’s recent work and a live Twitter and Instagram feed with images of TRU events as well as images of the TRU crew in and around the office.
Future for Growth International Summit
The second award was for TRU’s production of PepsiCo’s “Future for Growth International Summit”. TRU worked on the design strategy, logistics, graphic layouts and building plans for this summit. TRU also designed the lighting, sound and structures used at this event to deliver the best experience.
SFC KOENIG Tradeshow Booth
The third award was presented to us for the custom design and build of SFC KOENIG’s booth for one of the largest manufacturing shows in the world, the International Fluid Power Exposition (IFPE). SFC-Koenig was bringing their tradeshow production back to the US and requested a custom-built exhibit system. The design, development, and fabrication of this new booth was intended to act as a modular unit, allowing for different configurations for future shows while still drawing visitors to learn about the new SFC brand and to view equipment. TRU worked with SFC in the creative and experiential development and production of their exhibit for IFPE.
“Over the last few years, we’ve put a heavy emphasis on bringing only the best creative talent on board, and it’s great that they are being recognized for the work they are doing. Our creative team rocks!” said James Cash, Chief Creative Officer and Co-Founder.
